A day of nearly nothing

Saturday.

Diane and I are sitting next to a public sheet of ice at Smokey Bear park having just prepared it for the first ever Icebox Croquet tournament in history. Icebox croquet is just croquet on ice with hockey pucks in place of balls, and all other regular rules of lawn croquet applied. What, do you ask, does this have to do with the Shadowland? Damn little, says I, other than I definately know why getting things done is so hard: distractions.

Finished draft on of episode two yesterday, working at one of our two coffee shops in town. It felt good. It's good to realize I've only been really commited to doing this for a month and already two rough drafts are done. I'm thinking it will be March or April before he pilot can be recorded. Next week I'll be doing an Icebox show in-studio with a very brief turn-around. This will be good for me; deadlines to keep things sharp.
